Over the last 76 years thousands of students have passed through our studio doors. Many have gone on to perform professionally in ballet companies, musicals, aboard cruise ships and in international stage shows (Including Cirque de Soileil). However, many more students have made dance their passion and a wonderful hobby. Whether students want to dance for fun or make performing a career - Whitton Morris is an institution that nurtures this passion.
It's a family.
A place to develop confidence, work ethic and friendships that last a lifetime.

Morris
Whitton Morris School Of Dance was first established in 1950 in Holywell, Flintshire by Miss Margaret Whitton. Miss Whitton was a child prodigy - performing in piano concerts across the UK. However, her real passion was ballet and after she relocated to Holywell with her family she established a dance school at the heart of the community. Miss Morris was a pupil at The Whitton School of dance and after completing her exams in ballet was mentored by Miss Whitton and qualified as a BBO ballet teacher. In 1972, Miss Morris became a partner and established a second branch of the school in Mold, before becoming the principal in 1989. She has also worked as the international examiner for the British Ballet Organisation (Europe, Australia, New Zealand) and in 2000 was made a lifetime fellow of the organisation.
